Symmetry Breaking in Supersymmetric E6 Models
We study the electroweak and U(1) ′ symmetry breaking patterns in models with the particle content of supersymmetric E6, including standard model singlets S and exotic quarks D, D̄. Motivated by free fermionic string models, we do not require E6-type relations between Yukawa couplings. In particular, we assume that baryon and lepton numbers are conserved, so that the exotic quarks can be light. ...
متن کاملBernoulli matrix approach for matrix differential models of first-order
The current paper contributes a novel framework for solving a class of linear matrix differential equations. To do so, the operational matrix of the derivative based on the shifted Bernoulli polynomials together with the collocation method are exploited to reduce the main problem to system of linear matrix equations. An error estimation of presented method is provided. Numerical experiments are...
متن کاملDesigning cyclic universe models.
The phenomenological constraints on the scalar field potential in cyclic models of the Universe are presented. We show that cyclic models require a comparable degree of tuning to that needed for inflationary models. The constraints are reduced to a set of simple design rules including "fast-roll" parameters analogous to the "slow-roll" parameters in inflation.
متن کامل1 Grand Unified Models on S1/(Z2 × Z ′ 2) Orbifold ∗)
We suggest two grand unified models where the fifth dimensional coordinate is compactified on an S1/(Z2 × Z ′ 2) orbifold. Before showing the models, let us see the compactification of the fifth dimension. We denote the five dimensional coordinate as y, which is compactified on an S1/(Z2 × Z ′ 2) orbifold. Under the parity transformation of Z2 and Z ′ 2, which transform y → −y and y ′ → −y (y =...
متن کاملNeutrino Phenomenology from Unconventional E6 Models†
Superstring derived E6 models can accommodate small neutrino masses if a discrete symmetry is imposed which forbids tree level Dirac neutrino masses but allows for radiative mass generation. The only possible symmetries of this kind are known to be generation dependent. Thus we explore the possibility that, as a consequence of such a symmetry, the three sets of light states in each generation d...
